I noticed you are looking at our church website.
As the pastor of Harmony Baptist Church, I would like to invite you to come visit us here at the church building; located at 5016 E. Bristol Rd. in Burton Mi.
But my further and greatest invitation would be for you to join us as part of The Church universal.
Matthew 16:18. Jesus said: And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
A few questions
Let me ask you a few questions:
1. Today as you are reading this page, is there uncertainty in you about spiritual things?
2. As you think about God, are you confident that when you meet him you will be able to answer the question, “Why should I allow you in?” (Hint) it is so much more than being a good person.
3. Is there a lack of joy in your life? Like the weight of the world is bearing down on you?
4. Do you long for the innocence we all had once as a child?
These are all good questions and common feelings and there are answers. The bible has been a trusted source of spiritual guidance for thousands of years. If we can put aside for a moment our skepticism, and information we have heard in the past that may be misleading, we hear what the word has to say, and decide with less bias. God is not afraid of our honest questions or concerns.
Matthew 11:28. Jesus said: Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Thousands have found this to be true. and by examining the lives of those who have found not only religion, but also a relationship with Jesus Christ. The difference in their life is obvious. Anyone can come to church and we love to see each one come. However, being in a church building doesn’t make one a Christian any more than being in a garage makes one a car. But there is a Truth we can know. By a very simple process we can trust the God of the universe to change things from the inside out and make us a new creation. He will make us a part of THE CHURCH
2 Corinthians 5:17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Those feelings of being not quite prepared for eternity. Those feelings of being not quite good enough. Jesus knows those issues and guess what, your feelings are correct. The bible says we are all sinners, Christians, and non-Christians alike. The difference is, a Christian has turned away from that sin and trusts in the death, burial and especially the resurrection of Jesus as the way to peace with God… according to the bible it is the only way.
There is so much more to know about the wonder of Jesus Christ and His gift of grace. Won’t you consider a visit to Harmony Baptist Church where we can show you the love that Jesus gives.
