It has been some time since I have posted here. I would love to say it has been because I have been so busy. And it is in part because of that. But the thang that is on my mind is what are you busy doing?
Ephesians 5:16-17 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
So often I am caught up in the business of life and there are certainly many necessary things to occupy a pastor’s time really anyone’s time. But this truth from the scripture serves to remind us that what we are busy doing is important. To be so caught up in meetings, or paperwork, or even working on this blog is simply not the work we are called to as Christians. And certainly not as a pastor.
The Father is all about His children. Jesus gave his life for them that includes all people. That has to be our priority. It has to be our passion. It certainly is His. I have said it often and failed to follow my own thinking but it is so true especially in our evil day. This format may reach many people I pray that it does and I will try to devote more time to posting again. But the real challenge in this generation is personal relationships and that is my heart… because it is the heart of my Jesus.
